Not a Charity Bike Race

I was afraid to tell people.

I thought they'd assume a charity event equals a low quality event.

So when I started Grumeti Fund K2N in 2018 to direct revenue towards community development work in Tanzania, I only marketed the race. I wanted cyclists to recognize the event as an incredible mountain bike stage race, not a local charity 5K.

I didn't say a word about the good we accomplish in Tanzania.

What a mistake.

Our most well-traveled racers tell us Kilimanjaro 2 Natron is the best MTB stage race they've ever done.

That we use the profits to improve lives in Tanzania only adds to their experience.

I won’t be keeping our cause a secret any longer.
