Red Knot accomplishes good in Tanzania through education-based initiatives in the areas of agriculture, livelihoods, and sport.

We are raising funds for four existing projects:

Rural Livelihoods:
Fostering sustainability in local communities

Through education-based interventions, we build the capacity of rural communities to solve problems and navigate issues in the areas of agriculture, livestock, water, sanitation, and hygiene.

We plan to expand our livelihoods work in northern Arusha Region in 2024.

USD $15,600 provides holistic programming to two villages for one year.

Youth Development:
Pedaling towards a brighter future.

Healthy, supported children and youth are motivated to become successful and dedicated members of society.

Red Knot instills values and cultivates mental fortitude in youth through the sport of cycling, preparing them not just for the challenges of the race, but for life itself.

USD $70 sponsors a child / youth cyclist for one month, and $30,000 funds the entire program for one year.

Demonstration & Teaching Farm:
Cultivating knowledge for a greener tomorrow.

Red Knot uses our permaculture farm and learning space in Olasiti, Arusha to train farmers in agricultural techniques and systems that increase food security and promote long-term sustainability in farming.

The farm serves as a foundation for our rural livelihoods projects and a site for multi-day certifications.

USD $18,000 runs the farm and its trainings for one year.

Infrastructure:
Building the foundation for financial sustainability.

Red Knot is building a multi-purpose eco-facility on site to house farmers in our programs and travelers to Tanzania, contributing financially to the long-term sustainability of our projects.

The site will host 40 beds in permanent safari tents, a kitchen, dining area, shower / restroom block,, and event space.

USD $110,000 to construct the entire facility, which will produce revenue of more than $20,000 per year.
